Just received my K33H project from an Ebay source.
I guess I will have questions from time to time if y'all don't mind.
No tonearm but that will come.
I'd like to refinish the exposed metal bits.
Does anyone know of a place to get a replacement decal for the belt/motor cover?
I've looked on Ebay and done a internet search but haven't had any luck.
Help?

I have several belt drive ROKs awaiting attention. Finding a decal for the belt cover is on my list. The cover of mine has a ding that is probably easily fixed but will force a full refinish ruining the decal. Hope we can find a source.

How "good" do you find the original ROK tonearms to be?

The short answer is that I've never heard one playing. On the relatively beat-up tables I bought off EBAY about 10 years ago, they look crude compared to newer arms ('70s on), but, with the bearings fixed up (mine are loose) they might do well with low compliance cartridges. Pure speculation.

Greg,
Skip's speculation about ROK arm performance after refurbishing is right. Like the *33 models, the arms share the DNA of the original broadcast turntables and if given a bit of TLC and paired with good low compliance cartridges, either MM or MC, perform quite well.
There are free manuals for both the turntables and arms at VinylEngine if you haven't found them yet.
