Japanese line voltage is 100V 60Hz typically (there are some 50Hz areas), our nominal line voltage is 120V 60hz. You will need to look at the ratings plate to determine whether the table needs a step down auto transformer or not, if 100V mains is stated you need to use a transformer, and do not plug it into your 120V outlet directly as it could be damaged by over voltage.
Bucking transformers are another option if you know what that is and how to wire it, otherwise you should stick to a store bought autoformer.

I've assumed that the table is not an international version and does not have a voltage changeover switch.
