Its a lot easier to analyse signals digitally than with analogue.

I'm presuming your not interested in digital from your previous
posts.

You can use a PPL (phase locked loop) with carefully controlled
parameters (i.e filtering) to try and track the fundamental of a
single note.

(You can't turn a guitar into a six string bass as guitarists will
still play it as though it is a guitar, basically they can't play bass)

Once your PPL is tracking single note fundamentals you crudely
frequency divide it via digital circuitry and then mix the very crude
(squarewave) output after filtering back into the music signal.

Not something an amateur can build well.

I'm sorry if everything I tell you is not good.

If you don't like digital then :

Learn how to build / replicate all the classic analogue effects,
to the letter of the originals, and how to make them better.

Transistor wise, they are not complicated, but long
term only valve versions of the classics will survive.
