Default Benz Glider II Replacement

I have a Benz Micro Glider II LOMC cart and the stylus is shot. I went looking for a replacement, but it's not made any more.

Is there a suitable replacement from Benz or should I be looking to retip the cart?

When the stylus of my Glider II LO stylus fell from the cantilever (yes, it did happen ) I got the newer model (Glider SL) at a discounted price in exchange for my broken cartridge, according to Benz Micro's policy for many years.
But that was a couple of years ago. Too bad that now, as you say, they have discontinued the line of affordable models (ACE and Glider) and the exchange/retipping service, offering only the higher grade products ( Ruby, Gullwing, Wood, LP )
Anyway, my guess is that there must be still, somewhere, retailers with the Glider SL in stock, or you could try Audiogon for a unit with few hours of use. Although, in the last case, buying a costly MC cartridge from an unknown vendor is always a risk.
I foresee myself in your situation and this is no good at all. At present, I can't afford the upgrade to one of the premium models of Benz Micro

Contact Soundsmith: phono cartridge retipping and rebuilding for re-tipping options.

I think I checked with Soundsmith some time ago; they quoted 14 weeks!
