Default Bob Cordell vinyl trak

Is it possible to buy this anywhere? I just got into vinyl and it seems pointless getting anything else...

I wouldn't go so far as to say that. If you purchase a phono premp you will pay a very premium price for it. If you pick a well thought out design, you can build it yourself and save a HEAP of cash that you can then spend on more vinyl. Hence the name of the site.... diyaudio....

I had no idea you could copy the design? Is that allowed?

There are proven simple yet good sounding designs on this forum. And yes, you can copy a commercial product for personal use. But the design is only part of the success, components and layout are equally important.

vinyltrak is not a commercial product. I don't have that issue of LA, but the article can be bought for €3.49 online. from that and Bob's website there should be enough information to build your own.

The design is fully detailed in Linear Audio Volume 4, so yes you can build it yourself.

BTW, I have the distinct impression that some comments here are from people who do not know what VinylTrak is...

Ja

I didnt find building my Ncores the easiest in the world and that was simple....

I understand this guy is similarly reliable? Should I consider something like this instead?

There's the Pearl 2 to consider right in the Pass section also.

If you can explain what you want, technologies you 'believe in' and how advanced you can go then I think people can help. The Doug Self design from signal transfer is certainly a good unit, as is the pearl2 for MC.
