Default AR legend speed controller

Hi I have a AR legend turntable that has manual speed control. This involves taking the platter of and manual putting the belt onto the appropriate pulley which is a pain the neck.
The motor runs on standard 240V ac mains. I have been looking for a speed controller that I can use to change the speed electronically but cant find one. Does anyone know of one, or has built one. I could change the motor to a
24V AC version.

Can Anyone help.

Thanks

Check out the attached file. It was designed for a Lenco, which has a 20W motor and a bit of overkill for the AR, but will work just fine with a little modification for 115V use. Check out the data sheet for the XR-2206. Easy to build on a perf board.

Oops. Forgot you said 240V ac, which is what it was originally designed for, so should be easy!

Take a look at this: Digital PSU

If you have a 240VAC motor, you can use a travel convertor to change the output from 120 to 240V. If you have a 24V motor, plug the wall adapter into the PSU output.
