Count Basie
Jazz Pianist
William James "Count" Basie was an American jazz pianist, organist, bandleader, and composer. His mother taught him to play the piano and he started performing in his teens. Wikipedia

Very nice!!!!!
What 2 songs are on that record?? -- I have several DECCA 78s -- I love them
It was 'White Christmas' and 'God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen' I believe (no longer have it in front of me unfortunately!).
Count Basic, very funny That was the first time I tried uploading a picture and posting it all from my phone. Everything worked but the auto-correct.

The name Count Basic is genius given the way search engines work.
Of course I know both Counts, Basie and Basic, hence the smilie in my post.
Didn't mean to take the pish out of anybody except myself perhaps.
But I agree Count Basic is a genius name for an acid jazz outfit, it works on many levels and not just because of search engines.
Mostly I didn't mean to derail this thread. Sorry about that Soda!
