Hello,
I just won an auction on Ebay for a Pioneer PL-115D. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about this turntable. Is it a good model? Will it lathe my vinyl? Just anything anyone knows that might stand out about it. I'm just now starting to get back into vinyl, so it's been a bit of an overwhelming search just to find a turntable LOL... thanks Merf |

Post the auction id so we can take a look at it.
Its not a bad choice the budget end of the market. The most important thing for your records is to have a well chosen and set up cartridge in good condition with the right tracking weight, bias and geometry. I think I may have tweaked one of these in the past, or a very similar model, but to a degree it does depend how skilled you are. (I didn't go to town on that particular turntable, as the owner was fairly non-critical, and a bit lazy and it was for occasional use, so IMO keeping the automatic functions was a good idea) /sreten. |
