I have acquired a legendary Keith Monks mercury bath tonearm in reasonable condition. I have read about all of the problems associated with the mercury oxidation, etc. so I do not need to be reminded of this. I just want to put it back into stock configuration.
I have it fully broken down except for removal of the mercury baths/spindle.
Has anybody here performed this task? If so, would you mind sharing your secrets?
