Need Dimensions of Grace G707 Counter Weight
Hi,
I have a Grace G-707 Tonearm and the Counter Balance Weight has been lost. i.e. the main weight at the end of the tonearm (Not the Anti-Skating Weight) I am going to make one and need the dimensions. 1) I need Diameter of Counter weight. I believe there is a slight taper in some versions - larger in front & Smaller in back. 2) Length of Counter Weight not counting the Plastic Adjustment Ring. 3) Length of the Plastic Ring. I might make one also but this might be a bit too much. I would like the measurements in mm and need accuracy. Surely someone out there has a G707 that they could measure. And if your Counter weight is off the tone arm and you can weigh it that would be very cool. Make sure the tonearm is locked down before you measure it to avoid Stylus disaster! Thank you very Much! |

No , I'm not (chicagoland) but I can send you 707 counterweight so you can copy it. I'm not using the tonearm at the moment.

Hi,
The dimensions are no real help if you don't know what is made of. The weight is the important criteria if the pitch of the stub and the tracking force indicator ring are to remain accurate. rgds, sreten. |
