Default How to properly align a cartridge on Pro-Ject TT

I have a mint condition Pro-Ject 1.2 turntable and I just bought a Grado Red 1 cartridge. What is the proper way to align and set up this cartridge....anyone ???

I just ordered a digital needle scale, and a TT protractor.

thanks to any and all

Numerous treatises on this subject can be found at Vinyl Engine | The Home of the Turntable.. You need to join to access the extensive technical libraries.

I solved the problem by getting an arm (Schick) with absolutely no adjustments other than tracking force, and at installation the pivot distance to spindle and an Ortofon SPU.. Makes my vinyl playing experience much less obsessive..

There are several geometries in common use which one to use depends on how your arm was designed amongst other things.
