Default Mounting rca jack

I'm relocating a set of female rca jacks on an old turntable. The jacks will mount to a piece of aluminum stock. In looking at the jacks I see that the barrel of the jack is one size, but one of the two plastic shims has the same interior diameter as the jack barrel, but also has a slightly larger collar that could fit into a larger hole in the aluminum, thereby insulating the barrel from the panel. I assume then, that the hole in the panel should be larger than the barrel, the same size as the extrusion, to insulate the jack from the aluminum panel? Am I thinking right?

Thanks

That's right, the plastic washer with the collar locates in the hole in the panel to totally insulate the socket.
