Try cleaning it. There is almost always "noise" with vinyl. Lots of information on cleaning techniques on Google. You can start with simple deionized water and lint free cloth.
Hello everybody! I have a problem with a vynil record: long time ago my father use on it an anti-static spray..and when I want to listen it, the vynil has a noise.. How can I solve the problem?
Thank you!
Your father cleaned the record with a product called Permostat that was supposed to reduce static (as you say, it was a spray). This product is well known, over time, to dry out in the record grooves and cause a lot of noise. The answer is to use a record cleaning machine to wet clean your records - this will remove the Permostat.

My favorite manual wet cleaner is the "Discwasher". To clean the Permostat, us the wet side of the brush longer than normal. Then slowly rotate the brush to dry the record. The answer is to use a record cleaning machine to wet clean your records - this will remove the Permostat.
