Also, 26Vdc is the MINIMUM recommended input voltage for the PSU.[/QUOTE]

Hi Frans,

in a previous post it was stated that the input voltage have to be between 25 and 26 V. Now, you say minimum 26 and SQ have 28 V. That add quite some heat to the power transistors.

So, it's better with 26-27 volts?

I could ask mild mannered Calvin´s alter ego Stupendous Man to take Buffers from Alfred send to me to a Blackforest mountain in a thunderous night and speak a stupendous motivation sermon.
Something like: Come on You little su***r. Get up and going, or I´ll have Your 6-lettered butt fried to a crispy crunch by the next lightning!"
Well, if That doesn´t help ......

@audiomania - I used the paradise only yesterday for a longer period and it got too hot for my taste. I consider venting the lid.

Using a shunt supply (any ) always creates the need for a ventilated box. The Paradise shunt is not different

This has been discussed may times the 26Vdc is the absolute minimum, different people have reported no improvements above this. Up to 28Vdc is allowable (each Volt adds 150mW dissipation) but be sure to have a well ventilated case. (Case not closed ).
