You Can use a diode on the rails of the front end of a power amplifier where they can prevent the rails sagging if there's a big power draw..for class A circuits you want the constant current draw to form a R-C filter there diodes would chop of the currents in a not so desired way

Trying to rid a little hum i am getting only once the cart hits the record. I can only hear it at about 3/4 volume plus but gets noisy after that.
I have a DCB1 without gain so i have to run the volume pretty high. If i disconnect the TT ground the hum increases dramatically.

Havent cased the PS yet, so there is no iec ground. RCA wire is Juniper with cotton, if that might be an issue? Any thoughts, otherwise sounds sweet!!

Try moving the trafos away.... this is a 60 plus dB so it can amplify a lot

First move the transformers way out of the way Then have a good look at the grounding schema in the building guide

It would need too many changes. We have a new thread now called " Masterpiece" where we do a balanced phono stage that has a lot of the Paradise genes.

Circuit of post 588 on the Masterpiece thread seems to be working.
I found what i think is a better buffer though so this is still a work in progress.

I have being asked how a balanced output can be added to the Paradise. Unfortunately i have no idea for a simple modification but what works very well is this :
THAT Corporation 1606/1646 OutSmarts Balanced Line Driver ICs
