Default dual cs5000

Question regarding automatic shut off:

When tone arm is moved from resting position to the periphery of record the platter spins. At the end of record the tonearm should rise and platter stop. Mine does this but the tonearm must be moved close to the spindle to make it shut off. What is proper adjustment please?

I signed up to reply to this, as it took me a long time to figure it out myself...

There is a large flathead screw underneath the grey plastic shroud that surrounds the tonearm base. Take the rear plastic shroud out You will see a large flathead screw on one side, which is an adjustment for the spring tensioned light sensors that detect the tonearm movement towards the middle.

Have a look at it long enough and you will figure out how it works.

I had to adjust mine quite a bit, but now it stops at the end of the record.

Good luck
