Exclamation Studio monitors with dvd player

Hi all,

Not sure if I posted this in the right section, if not, feel free to move it.

I was wondering how I would go about running my KRK R6's off of a DVD player. I have a Saffire Pro 14, which would be needed as a preamp I'm guessing? It's been so long since I've had/seen a dvd player I've even forgotten what the conventional audio outputs are, are most of them speaker-wire outs? How would I connect this to the inputs of the interface?

Just in case it makes a difference to the setup, the DVD will be producing a quadrophonic signal, I'm assuming the only thing this means is that the DVD player must have at least 4 audio outputs?

Cheers,
Sam
