Rega Turntable Base board
Hi, Can anyone tell me the following about on the Rega turntables

1) how thick is the base board

2) how far is the center of the spindle from the L/H side

3) how is the center of the spindle from the front

Thanks Derek

trying to make a cosmetic clone of one. There are better tables to emulate if that's the case.

There are those that have made new plinths for rega turntables. Do a search, I'm sure someone who has done will would be willing to help out.

Umm, *which* Rega?

On my older Planar2 the plinth is about 1 inch thick. The spindle is about 6-5/8 inches from the left edge and about 7-1/8 inches from the front edge.

If you are building a replacement base, then the thickness can be taken by measuring the thread height on the bearing. The other two measurements don't really matter that much, although you should probably make it long enough to where the platter doesn't overhang.

More important is the spindle to arm pivot distance, which is specific to the tone arm. For Rega arms, it should be 222mm.

Hope this helps,
