Vishay MKP 1837

Hi
If you read this capacitor test (Humble Homemade Hifi) it is mentioned that Vishay MKP 1837 cap works miracles if you use it as a bypass cap for MKP's .
Well guess what, i put it in parallel with the output caps on my CD , output/input caps on my pre & power amp. (small value about 100nf).
The results are amazing. I can't believe my ears. I thing this small cap is responsible for amazing results for some microphones they sell in the market, also.

Has anyone of you tried it ???

I have used it a lot to reduce ripple current on the power supply board. Basically, add it to any electrolytic that you have on the power supply board and watch out! I have also used it on some Mundorf Supremes during the breaking period but I have since removed them now feeling that I was actually substituting a cheaper part for a cheaper sound.

IMHO though the REL RT(Es) are leagues better than the 1837. They are polystyrene and foil in an epoxy fill. A .01uf will run you about $6. Relatively inexpensive, given the quality. A quote from The Great Capacitor Shoot-Out "This one actually outperformed the SoniCap Platinum (which costs four times as much) with its smoothness and lack of glare. Has most of the qualities of the ones above for a fraction of the price."
