when inputting a freq that contains an 8 or 9 all freq display are set to 889 or 999. All other functions are preforming normally. I checked the keyboard and programmer circuits and couldn't find any problems. Any suggestions would be greatly appeciated. Thanks, Michael

Assume you are talking about the Heathkit AJ-1510 FM tuner?
1972 Heathkit Model AJ-1510A Digital FM Tuner as shown here. I recommend you check out TIC here: Tuner Information Center - Vintage Stereo Tuners and join the associated listserv which should put you in contact with people who can help you fix this thing. Obviously it goes without saying that the tuner should have had all of its electrolytic capacitors replaced before now.
