A good friend has just bought a Linn Linto to replace a Black Cube SE phono pre and loves the extra sense of enjoyment and life that it seems to give to the listening experience. Trouble is that the Linto has no sub bass filter ( The Black Cube does ) and on the odd occasion he turns up the volume a bit, his woofers start to wobble like jelly and the sound quality seems to go out the window. Is there a simple DIY way to implement a filter for this problem or better to find another pre.
