Rewire and oil change of DQX-500

Hello,

I just bougt a Micro Seiki DQX-500 and I wants to rewire the arm.
What is better the Cardas or vd Hull cable?

And I also wants to change the oil of the direct drive motor, the oil is very thick and dark.
What can I use? Vd hul spindle oil or TLF type I or II and how much do I need?
I cant find anything in the servicemanual about it.

Regardless of the age of the initial post - directdrives need no oil change; about any japanese company advices against that in their service manuals. Understandably so, there are practically no processes that degrade the lubricant in turntables (no residuals from combustion, no water, no debris, no high temperatures...).
