Default Switch grounds on input selector?

Is it necessary to switch the grounds on my input selector? Or should I just wire all the grounds to the same grounding post and only switch the 'hot' lines with a 2 pole switch.

Basically what I'm asking is: 2pole or 4pole (both 6 position) switch? 2pole is vastly cheaper, which is why it's attractive.

There is also 3pole 4 position. No sure is more costly ? When you look inside there is 12 out terminal around and 1 to 4 terminal in center.

3poles means i could switch grounds on each input if I wire them together, not sure if that'd be any different than a 2 pole. 4pos isn't enough.

I prefer to use input ground switching because it helps to minimize the possibility of ground loops.

I use Input ground switching for the same reason. Also, when you have several components using switch mode power supplies, the S/N is better due to the additive effects of that confounded residual 50/60HZ AC due to the capacitors between their primary and secondary sides putting them above earth potential.
You can get quite nasty little bites when unplugging the inputs, or the interconnect to an earthed amplifier.
