I was forced to start the project of rewiring my RB-300 tonearm a while back - one channel went out, and I'd been planning to do it sometime anyway. I have all the stuff together, and the old wire is out. I know the recommendation is to pull the new wire through with the old wire, but I had mine break, so no longer an option. Now after numerous attempts, I can't get any of the new wires to thread through the arm. Very disconcerting, as I have to get all 4 lead wires plus a ground wire through - I can't even get one through there. Any advice?

Try a metal fishing line, next try remove the armtube not the yoke!
