Default newbie advice

Looking to get into building some basic audio kits.could someone pont me in the direction of where to start kit wise seen load`s on ebay but I just do not know where to start for example ive seen this kit power amplifier | eBay UK

If i build this how good a sound is it compaired to a mass produced phono stage
