Default Thorens TD125 MkII Motor Spindle

Hi Guys,

The spindle connecting the pulley to motor of my Thorens TD 125MkII broke during shipping.

What are my options? Can the spindle be changed? Is buying the motor only option?
What are other motors similar to TD125?

Secondly, I want to know is it possible to open up the motor and change the spindle in case I manage the spindle?

Anyone who faced similar situation. Cost of motor on eBay is obscenely high. Infact as high as the cost of a TT itself.

You can have a machine shop machine one for you. The dimensions do not need to be critically exact because you can vary the speed of the motor by calibrating the circuits.

By the way the only TD125MKII i had had a CHEAP plastic pulley. A brass one would be much much better.

No need to buy another motor. BTW paying a lot of $$$ for such a rachitic motor is unfair.

Cheers,
Flavio.
