Hello Rüdiger,

just have a look at the graphs.

The graphs are:

very hyped cartridge of this year, mc stage like above, 3.5mA each transistor
then with Lundahl LL1933 (1:16) MC transformer
then directly at phono MM input (47k)

vintage catridge, mc stage like above, 3.5mA each transistor
then same stage, but changed bias with 1mA each transistor
then with LL1681 (1:13) MC transformer
then MC stage reworked to high-Z, 300 Ohms load

note one vertical division is 14dB for the first cartridge, 10dB for the second cartridge.

Hartmut

Hi! I have been to hifi show in Philippine Dusit hotel last Nov 11,2012 and most of the exhibits are in phono Input source..i'd like to go back in once popular Moving coil Catridge, and I need to add MC preamp circuit in my DIY McIntosh C22CE.

McIntosh I believe has one of the most advanced audio circuit design concept nowadays and. I'm aware that their latest tube C2300 uses SST moving coil preamp as well as their new C1000T..however, they are using McIntosh House Number in which, I could not Identify their Ultra Low Noise transistors in 10 parallel config, namely 132304/132317 used by C2300 and 132172/132171 used by C1000T...Anybody who can decode it?
