which multi meter for servicing technics?

hi,

which is the multi meter does most people use for servicing technics? as ive been reading up i need one which can read frequencys up to 500 kHz with 2 decimal places.

Well, the $29 sears craftsman dmm does not even read 440 hz properly on the AC scale, which is apparently designed for 60 hz, so that is out. Rather than buy a $200 flukemeter to find out maybe it doesn't work either, I bought a $40 used 20 MHz B&K oscilloscope, along with a $50 scope probe, because it has the bandwidth in the name. They are cheap now used because 20 MHz is useless for computer work. But 20 Mhz is still useful for audio work.
I don't know whether you need 500 Khz if you are not designing an amp that could RF oscillate, but my organ has the 9th harmonic, so it goes up to about 8000 hz just on generated sounds.

Buy a frequency meter for measuring frequency.
Buy a voltmeter for measuring voltage
Buy a multimeter to save money.
