Hi,
does anyone have any experience with either of these PSUs and which one would be the best one to go for using either a Systemdek IIX900, Thorens TD160, Rega P2, and which would benefit the most as i have all 3. Why don't you ask to see what's in the Isokinetic unit. £10 says it's a transformer, some rectifiers, some caps, and a handful of voltage regulators- nothing you couldn't build.
As opposed to the dual crystal frequency controlled circuit of the Mose- which is a little more, involved, shall we say.

I have found out some more info on the ISOkinetic from ISOdrive ISOKINETIK "The ISOdrive regulates the turntable's motor drive via an intricate quadrature-quartz speed generator, providing unsurpassed speed accuracy and pitch stability. Packed into their hefty shielded steel casework (protecting the units from electromagnetic interference and vibration) are two mains-filtering transformers, and a high-current amplification circuit to assure that the power passed onto your motor is silky-smooth and constant, with no fluctuation and virtually immeasurable distortion." Hi,
For the thorens TD160 you should go with the Mose+Hercules II for it cost less than ISOkinetik ISOdrive.I have 2 Mose/Hercules in a TD150 and a TD166mkII they work great and sound great speed is 0.1% +/- of perfect. |

+1 for the Hercules PSU. I've installed about half a dozen, and results have been excellent to date.
