Default Microphone Feedback Problem

Is there a circuit that I can build to reduce if not eliminate the feedback when I use my microphone?

Thanks in advance!

Standard equipment is a 1/3 octave graphic equaliser to cut the problem frequencies.

I believe not to believe in any fixed belief system.

Default Kissing Britney

There are also frequency shifters (shift by 1Hz, or so). Surrey Electronics makes them.

However, by far the best solution is to put the microphone nearer the source (reducing required gain) - that's why you see the likes of Britney with a diddy mike looping round her face and kissing her lips. Cardioid response helps too.
The loudspeaker: The only commercial Hi-Fi item where a disproportionate part of the budget isn't spent on the box. And the one where it would make a difference...
