Default Mission FM2 Tuner Problems

Hi, people,

I'm not quite so fanatical as I once was about my kit (currently an old Mission Cyrus2, Mordaunt Short MS10's, Cyrus FM2 Tuner, and an old Philips CD624. Recently, my Cyrus Tuner's display quit, so, although I can still use it, I couldn't easily retune it, if indeed it was at all possible. Mission want £170 to repair it, whatever the fault. I've opened the case, just to blow the dust out, and to see if perhaps there was a fuse inside, but beyond that, I'm not going.

Who will repair it for less, as, given FM hasn't got a tremendous future I can't justify the £170 (to my wife!) I'm toying with seeking a replacement Cyrus on EBAY, or, more radically, finding a DAB/FM tuner to fit inside the Cyrus case, just to retain the Cyrus aesthetic. Or, I may just capitulate and buy, say a Denon tuner for simplicity. The Cyrus look, weight, and clunky power switch will be missed, though.

Any ideas out there?

Avoid DAB. In the UK it sounds horrible, because we have the lowest bit rates in the world!
