Technics 1220 mk2 pitch control problem

I have a problem with the pitch control on one of turntables. According to Serato, when I try to pitch it .5% down, it decreases 2% percent instead. And when I try to pitch it up 8%, it increases only 7.5%. I restarted serato and my laptop and the same problem keeps happening. Basically, I'm having trouble beatmatching since the pitch automatically jumps from 0% to 2% even if I decrease the pitch slightly. HELP!!!

It's a Technics 1200 mk2, not a Technics 1220 mk2. Sry about that

Good chance the fader is end of life.
Replace it and if you have a frequency counter, adjust VR301 for 262.08 kHz and, with an ohm meter, VR302 for 2.7k ohm.

given the chance you might find some electrolytics that could be leacky also inside ... the fader needs to be replaced though anyway ...
