Any thoughts on this motor for TT
Will this motor be any good for TT project?
It looks well made, the 240 volt one (MOT) D60KBU-1FZ. Fourth down on right. |
anyone, this motor looks soo well made compared to the usual ones listed (maxon, primatec), just not ure if it correct.
This motor was built for the Harris corporation, from the 1980's onwards. |
It looks too fast - a pulley that drives 12” platter has to be very small, also at 1500rpm the motor bearing may hiss. One phase motors vibrate. They are used because they are cheap. This one is a bit pricy, so it may be well build, I don’t know.
