Hi All
I am building a high mass TT. Marble base, 75mm acrylic platter, maxon motor and RB300 arm If someone could tell me the followind dimensions (in mm preferably!) that would help alot. Sorry if i am not clear explaining what i am after. I need a template for the mounting holes for the tone arm. Also the centre to centre distance from the TT to the tone arm. Also the turntables platter will be 80mm from the top of the plinth (75mm platter + 5mm clearance), how high should i build up the part where the tone arm sits? (should it be 10mm below the finished platter height?) thank you in advance Gregg |

The cutout dimension that was supplied with my Rega RB300 is a 23mm diameter hole, with a 222mm centre to centre dimension to the spindle.
![]() On My Townsend Rock the arm base is about 28mm below the platter but of course this dimension will vary with cartridge ht & preferred VTA. Suposedly the dimension between the platter and the armboard on an Rega 3 would be ideal - This dimension is certainly bigger than 10mm. |

The arm base will be able to be adjusted further down the build. 23mm hole and 222 ctc it is. |
