simple 2 way mixer

making my first amp using 2 lm3886 and I was wondering how dificult would it be to make a 2 input mixer so just that I can use 2 cd players (for exaple) and have the volume control for both
Could it work just by using 2 potentiometers at the audio in and have one source go to the first potentiometer and the second source to the second potentiometer

It would probably be a lot more cost-effective to find a DJ mixer, sounds like it'd be perfect for what you want to do

Individual channel levels, crossfading, etc.

Try an intenet search for "virtual earth Mixer"
In its simplest form this consists of a single op amp stage per channel. The signals are connected to the inverting input though separate resistors.
