Default Acrylic platter

I'm trying to find an acrylic platter of about 1,5-2" thick for no more than 100GBP. There is one HK supplier on Ebay, who has one for that price.
It's acceptable, except that it is completely clear and I prefer a satin/matt/frost effect (i.e. not polished).
Can't find anything. Not from Teres, Not from Clearaudio, ISOkinetic, etc etc. I can find their turntables, but not loose platters, ANYwhere, and certainly not with prices.
However, i don't mind going for cheaper 3rd party brands that I may not be aware of.

Any advice is helpful

Look at Project turntables they have a upgrade platter which I bought for $100.00 (CDN dollars) not sure if this will work for you but have a look. BM.

Thanks, I did have a look at that one, but it is thinner than an inch I believe. And there are many available in that niche of the market.
I wouldn't mind a replacement platter for any brand, or upgrade platter for that matter, but it does need to be at least about 38mm thick.

Hi,

Why don't you make yourself one ? It is much cheaper than getting one from a vendor.

Best regards,
Bins.

Default Clear Platter

Is there someone near you who might be able to sand blast it for you? There are many grades of material that can be used for different effects.

Schue ( in Germany) used to do a range of platters when they were primarily selling kits. They might still be available.
