I'm trying to find an acrylic platter of about 1,5-2" thick for no more than 100GBP. There is one HK supplier on Ebay, who has one for that price.
It's acceptable, except that it is completely clear and I prefer a satin/matt/frost effect (i.e. not polished). Can't find anything. Not from Teres, Not from Clearaudio, ISOkinetic, etc etc. I can find their turntables, but not loose platters, ANYwhere, and certainly not with prices. However, i don't mind going for cheaper 3rd party brands that I may not be aware of. Any advice is helpful |

Thanks, I did have a look at that one, but it is thinner than an inch I believe. And there are many available in that niche of the market.
I wouldn't mind a replacement platter for any brand, or upgrade platter for that matter, but it does need to be at least about 38mm thick. |

Hi,
Why don't you make yourself one ? It is much cheaper than getting one from a vendor. Best regards, Bins. |

Is there someone near you who might be able to sand blast it for you? There are many grades of material that can be used for different effects.

Schue ( in Germany) used to do a range of platters when they were primarily selling kits. They might still be available.
