Hi guys;
After one month trying to resolve what went wrong when using a MC cartridge with origin Project Debut III metalic platter, it's clear that both pieces can work together in perfect harmony, that's why I should think of a new MC compatible platter, doesn't matter if its acrylic or rubber, but it should weighs more or less like the included Project one (1.408 grams). If you got something that can fit me, please let me know. Thanks, Jgtx. |

How about the Pro-Ject Acryl-It? Dealers should be selling it as an option for the Debut.
Acryl It Or the glass platter they featured on the Classic line? Glass Platter |

Thanks for your quick reply. I know both models, but, you know... I bought the turntable for just a few euros and the platter alone cost even more than the whole pack. That's why I have the intention on finding something compatible or second-hand that could match my set.
You ignore how much time I spent searching for what the hell happened to the tonearm, because when placing it over the vinyl, cartridge sank down to the floor! F***** magnetism. Best regards, Jgtx. |

Is the bearing removable? In that way you can cut your own platter from a piece of scrap plexiglas.
I know that we are only as good as our last bargain price and then we can only succeed in life if we find even better ones, but if the turntable cost you only a few dollars then you are stuck finding only free solutions, after that. You may have to reset your personal bargain needle or gauge, as now..with your nearly free turntable, you are on the verge or ruination! |
