Hi, does anybody know if any recent receivers have some from of volume limiting or compression? Call me old-fashioned (actually, please do) but I never cared for extended dynamics that much. Live concerts, fine, but recorded music and movies.. quiet passages, whispering... BIG HUGE SOUND that blasts your ears out
I hate that! So, I want to know if any receiver today has an incorporated compressor or limiter, that may be called some trademark by the company that makes it. I have already considered hooking up a compressor between the receiver and CD player but I don't want to that anymore. Thank you
