4 pin to TOA gonna drive me to DOA

So I am wiring, (trying to) wire 636, EVs and SLB green bullet
to my TOA 900 preamp.
the input mods are mostly at 200 ohms
so i am using the low impedance outs on the evs, pins 3 and 4
and using a low impedance green bullet
also pins 3 and 4
with shield to ground on both sides to pin 1
and on the other side 2-3 and 3-4
although i have tried this both ways and i still have low sound and an obvious connection to the shield of the mic as when you touch it it lessens hum
please help, i know the connection on the TOA are backwards and i have on wired for 2 hot and for 3 hot and either way all noise and barely any real sound is being transduced to the amp

actually what i meant was that i terrible hum starts when you touch the mics
