Am considering adding an IEC connector to my TT and then connecting the chassis ground to the AC ground lug in the IEC. I have DIY ICs that are shielded as well so the sheilding will be tapped directly into the AC ground lug as well.

With all signal grounding points tied directly to the chassis, will the addition of the AC ground connection and/or IC sheilding drain cause hum or other problems? I have read that adding a 0.1mf cap between the chassis ground point and the common (or "negative") output leads will be beneficial. Oh, the table is a Thorens belt drive, so motor noise may be an issue.

Any and all comments welcomed.
