It could start with this transformer. Simply rectified it has too much voltage. We can drop the voltage in resistors or we can use coils. One transformer is enough for both channels but 2 can be used for double mono.Transformateur R-CORE à fixation sur châssis 30VA - 2 x 24V - Transformateurs R-CORE pour châssis
Very good and inexpensive... I use the same.
This rectifier diode is hopelessly over dimensioned but hyperfast and soft recovery.
Other like Fairchild make similar products.http://www.hifituning24.de//downloads/hfa08tb60.pdf
My first choice for rectifiers also
I would vote for a passive solution with coils.
Yes, passive is the way to go IMO gyrators can kill dynamics if not perfectly dimensioned.
I am collecting parts for my R3 build... Does anybody know about these caps ? https://www.distrelec.ch/ishop/Datasheets/jiEMZ-B33063B_de.pdf
Are they ok for the riaa filter ?
Are they ok for the riaa filter ?
Nice to know that... I need those exactly for that purpose. Those were the ones we used in the OLD LA-Audio days for the Riaa filters...
PS: Did you receive my PM ?
