Here is Hermann Hoffmann, Herman the German, from Audio Intīl, one of the first High End importers in the early 70th.
He commissioned a team around Phillipp Kemna to modify the Korean King electrostats. They sounded very open and transparent without any edge or spit. |

This time it is the BD139-16, BD140-16 pair. The second picture shows the saturation area. |

They have a Hfe mismatch of around 20%.
