I read somewhere that there is a particular side of a Sota turntable belt that should make contact with the motor and platter. Anyone know whether it is the shiny or dull surface?

im guesing but when i work with belts on vcr and other audio
shiny tends to slip dull grips. is it a used belt? if it is use the dull side
