I just got a new Dynavector 10x5 from needledoctor.com,
and haven't mounted it yet. For me, this is a high end cartridge. But the cantilever is not centered very well in the hole in the magnet, and I don't know whether this is normal for this cartridge model. I'm concerned that there may be imbalance in L+R after I mount it. Here are the best 2 photos I could make When I look carefully inside, I can see the 2 coils and the place where the cantilever comes out of the point where the coils cross. That point is off-center too. This was hard to photograph and here's my best one: The cantilever looks parallel to the sides of the cartridge, it's not crooked, but it looks like the coils are not centered well inside the magnet. I'm thinking of returning it for another one before even trying it. What would you do ? Thanks for your experience, kanyonman |

hi there,
i think you are correct it looks a bit too off centre to me, and because it is not a cheap cart i would return it for repair/replacement without hesitation.

I would return it as well - if for no other reason than peace of mind.
