Default Should I Wash a N.O.S. Record?

Hi All.

I bought a "new old stock" L.P. which is very important to me. It certainly looks to be brand new, and never played, as the ad stated. I have not played it yet. My question is, assuming that my record washing technique is good, should I WASH it before I record it? Or do you think it is better if I just put it on the platter, right out of the sleeve, and record it without washing it?

Wash it. New records often have mold release residue.
