Need Vinyl storage for moving house

We have to move, our landlady has decided to kick us out and our new house is a 100 klicks away.
Does any-one know of an Australian supplier of archive boxes suitable for storage/shipping of vinyl records??
We only have about a 1000+/- to move.
Readily available in the USA, but shipping cost to Australia is stupid since surface shipping was stopped.

Any information is appreciated and we have 5 weeks left to pack and move in

Every time I move (far too often) I pack my vinyl in the boxes wine bottles come in. Not all will do, typically it takes a white wine box to be tall enough, but if you hunt around you can typically find one that is about exactly the right height and width. They are sturdy and strong.

In Canada, the liquor stores give these away for the asking.

When I was designing the record cabinets I'm currently having built, I originally intended to make the design from stacking cubes so that there'd be no need to unpack and repack the records - just pick up the cubes which become their own moving crates. However, WAF was insufficiently high for all the designs I floated, so next move I'll be back looking for those boxes.

Too bad the red wine ones don't seem to do it - I could start emptying cases now and claiming that I was merely being prepared.

That is one of the options we've already looked at, but since the passion for "light-weighting" they are not as robust as they used to be, we were hoping to be able to use the same boxes for long term storage as well.

We both hate the whole moving process.
No matter how much of an effort we make to declutter our lives ; each time we move we seem to have three times as much stuff as last time.
And we can't just throw "stuff" away; it may have a use in the future or a value

I keep some of my records in a box format I designed by accident. I originally made up a 1 cubic foot box to use for measuring out cement mix using 3/4" plywood. This turned out to be a silly, since it was faster to just count out shovels of cement and sand/gravel. Then it became a nesting box in the henhouse. Then I planned to use it as a hydroponic planter, so it was sealed and varnished inside and out. That didn't happen, so it became a record box. And then I made about 3 more (using thinner plywood, or particle board). I'd stack them with boards inbetween to hold more records or equipment as required. One "cube" held about 60 records. I've added a bunch more records since then, but not built any more cubes. The records stick out by about 1/2", which makes it easier to pull a record out, but it's not so good for shipping or stacking open end up.

3/4" was overkill; 3/8" to 5/8" would be reasonable. I just butt-jointed and nailed back then since I only had a jigsaw. If I get around to making more, I'd do fancier joints with the router. A rough guesstimate says it would take one 4x8 to make 4 (possibly 5) boxes.

Or, call up a company that sells new shipping cartons, and order some in an appropriate size. Doublethick cartons are much stronger, but appropriate if you're not going to be moving the boxes personally.
