Hello Frank

Do you think these type of suspension can work well with longer tonearm like 15" or 16"? One will be 12" that sure.
Also these would be the material for arm wind guys you advised to me? You wrote I think you like it a lot these or similar material...
I do not want to buy in case these not the same, please remember I have ultra light weight titanium, 2 size carbon fibre and aluminium arrow shaft( similar to Naim wand).. All light weight and they do look promising.
Garolite XX Bakelite Tube, .500" OD x .063" Wall x 12" | eBay

Would you please let me know.
Thank you
Greetings Gabor

I also made a rest so I can lock the arm when not in use. Makes it a lot safer when kids are about. Anyway I think it's time for a few pics!

I shot a short video that's up on YouTube:

The one in the video is a cheap compilation "the rough guide to new orleans". It's actually very good sonically and musically!

Hi Gabor,
Without having tested the tubing that's offered under the ebay link, I can't say whether its's suitable or not. For armwands, I only use such a material as the outer layer of a three layer sandwich.
Generally speaking, most phenolic tubes of suitable diameter/wall thickness are not stiff enough to be used by themselves, not to mention for 16" arms.

have a great wekend,

Frank

Hi Fran,
Why did you make the headshell/armwand interface so fragile and the mounting plate so massive?

The mounting plate: basically its what I had to hand. The headshell is pretty strong - its made from a single piece of aluminium. It "feels" strong if you know what I mean.....

My Schroeder arm is almost completed. It missing only the wood wand tube. Here the pictures. It has a micrometric VTA adjuster kind like the one on the Graham tonearm. Counterweight with fine adjuster brass screw, plastic (Rulon material) sleeve insert between arm tube and counterweight for smoother adjustment and vibration control. I'll use a kevlar thread for the pivot point. The mounting hole is the same as a REGA, lifter (JL-45) from Jelco. It will need a custom slide section. The standard one is not long enough.
