Maxon Motor and Mark Kelly controller at final stage

Hi guys,

I am close to finishing my Maxon Motor controller project, I did not participate in the GB actually but I got the parts from a friend and decided it is a great project.
I have almost completed the controller, only two parts missing, I have the battery and the motor housing and when I thought about it, I do not know how long the belt needs to be. I tried to search the threads but I got lost in the millions of post.
So can anyone help me - how long should the belt be for the string pulley or at least what should be the distance from the center of the pulley to the center of the spindle? Thanks in advance, the platter is a VPI Aries 3, if it is important...

The belt length or pulley-spindle distance is immaterial.
