hi
i have had this problem with that model, inttermitant speed and speed suddenly increasing.
Around the motor there is a sensor /servo coil, this is a printed flexible circuit board coil that terminates in 2 vertical pins/wires soldered to the main board, at the point where the wires attach the circuit becomes broken. you will have to take out the main board to inspect this part and then it is not ovious. on one occasion the part measures ok but when assemled was causing problems, (crack in the coil).
the good news is that this part is availible as a spare from technics.
also do a search on this forum for this model for more info

hi there,
the part is described as FG coil assembly, number is SFM2172-01A

the service manual can be had at vinylengine.com

the pages are 12 and 13. drawing reference 7.

i would recommend that this work be done by a experienced technician, this part is very delicate when soldering, there is quite a bit of dismantling required and there is also mains is present on the pcb.
good luck

You will want a full service manual for good troubleshooting and I don't see it at vinylengine.
I have a paper copy and I'll see what I can do.
Meanwhile, check the board for bad solderings, especially around transistor Q201.

Alright, are you equipped with adequate service tools like a good DMM and a scope?
I ask because the troubleshooting needs at least these instruments.

Here's something useful if you are skilled enough.
Otherwise, I would advice to take it to a good service tech.
