No argument from me. I knew RCruz had been talking of Calvin buffer with Joachim, so i was unsure of how far he had taken it. Other than possibly adding the B1 on the output, like Rush, I see no reason to change anything. Sounds to good.
Your boards are actually soldered. I haev to get a couple 33r resistors to make 43R on output stage Rs and then they will be headed your way.

There is a b1 already in the folded just before the output cap when Rush's has a DCb1 for using a smaller cap. Simple repositioning.

Thanx! Will be waiting.

B1, DCB1. I am so confused
Is shipping within Europe cheaper than to continental US. If so I might send RCruz his TX2575 resistors through yuo if it will save on postage and you dont mind.

I am interested in buffers, but Calvin's works with simetrical psu... not applicable anyway.

And in this case I was only reporting about changes made in the shunt.

B1 is cap coupled, DCB1 is direct coupled.

They both use a coupling cap in this case, its only you save on a bigger cap when adding a further supply. If the negative polarity supply is already there in a combo pre, then why not.

I know. I have built both, just forgot the DC part in my writing above. I have learned a few things.

I like Rush's idea very much....
Ricardo, now it's up to you: make a (no-longer-simplistic) folded cascode RIAA front end + DCB1 o/p stage with six (!) SSLV V.1.2R

Allready have a dcb1 with two v12r

So maybe I could power the folded with four (instead of two) v12r ad get to the inline six.

I like the inline six sound but even more the v12... with smaller pistons... they really scream.

You can use just 4 V1.2R.... if you already have a super DCB1, you can replace the last stage of your folded, listen and report to us poor souls
